New Store: Root City
There’s a new store in Racine poppin’ with local pride. The guys behind Root City show you the clothes they’re making and share the stories behind the designs. They also introduce us to Kris P. Kringle, a fun new cartoon character you’ll find on some of the products.
Racine Boy in Mental Health Documentary
A Racine boy known for his bow-tie business is in a new documentary that focuses on kids and mental health. PBS Milwaukee and The USA Today Network – Wisconsin teamed up for “You’re Not Alone.” The film is part of their kids in crisis series. Alex Hart-Upendo, the young founder of Build-A-Bow, explains why he got involved in the project and what he hopes other kids will learn from it. He also invites you to see the documentary at future screenings.
Public Art Auction
This year’s public art project in Racine features benches honoring the city’s past, present, and future. Now you can bid on the benches for a chance to bring one home. Two of the ladies from the Downtown Racine Corporation tell us about the public art auction and show off some of the pieces.
Wine Walk & Party on the Pavement
White, Red, or Rosé? Either way, get ready to fill up your glass! Tickets are now on sale for the second Wine Walk in downtown Racine. The organizers reveal what’s new this time. We also look ahead to Party on the Pavement, the annual street festival in the heart of the city.
