Jacob Kittilstad invited the United Way of Racine County on to talk about their 2018 Alice Report which looks at the number of people dealing with the challenges of low wages, depleted savings, and the increases in the cost of basic household goods. Jacob also met CJ Rouse to talk about his own personal situation – married with two children, both employed – yet an emergency expense of as much as $500 could their derail future hopes for a degree and career. A high-flying event will soon be returning to Union Grove – the Great Pumpkin Chuckin Fest will once again test the might of trebuchet-creators who plan to launch their gourds as far as possible. And while people are watching the squashes get squashed, they can also check out the Best of the Midwest BBQ Cook-Off which will likely bring 50+ competitors to the Racine County Fairgrounds (and yes, you can be a judge in the People’s Choice category for just $10). Next up, pop artist Mae Deline tears into the studio to talk about her upcoming single release of “Animal”. Jacob goes way back with the singer – but she’s evolved so much since their teenage years. She’s now exploring themes including women empowerment and free love, while also examining society’s devaluation and objectification of women. She also gives a performance in her home state with a special guest. Click here for more information

This is the busiest time of year for the Abandoned Haunted House Complex in Mount Pleasant. Jacob has a pleasant conversation with one of their bloodiest actor who says he got his start in haunted houses at age five. The owner of the complex also talks about his background in the business…and it surprisingly isn’t in horror. Click here for more information
