RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58 ) -- Alex Hanesakda is the owner of Sap Sap, a restaurant in Racine County serving up meals with the goal of educating others about Lao's food and history.
He joined CBS 58 in-studio to talk more about his mission to help others through food.
Hanesakda says for him, food is a weapon that can be used to provide good in the community.
His Asian fusion restaurant aims to provide folks with a new and unique culinary experience.
He says his business started out with his mother's homemade eggrolls and snowballed from there. They provide meals to those in need and hope to continue making a difference in the community.
Hanesakda says a second Milwaukee location is in the works, and he hopes to spread that kindness here as well.
If you'd like to visit Sap Sap, their address is: 2343 Mead Street, Mt. Pleasant, WI 53403.
