Racine & Me: We Rock the Spectrum - Racine County celebrates 1 year!

 

RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- We Rock the Spectrum - Racine County is celebrating one year in business! 

Heather Bennett is the owner and says it's been a beautiful and productive year! 

Bennett is an Administrator who has experience in the K-12 setting over the past 19 years. She also has an Autism Specialist certification. Andre Bennett is the Executive Director of Alternative Programming with over 17 years of educational experience.

Since their son’s diagnosis of Autism in 2013, the Bennett’s have sought out any and every experience to provide him with the highest quality of life possible. Along the way, they have met countless people that have impacted their family and cared for their son like he was their own. Heather’s dream since the day of his diagnosis has been to focus on providing families living in similar situations with the same type of experiences they’ve had over the years. What truly drives her is the belief that all individuals deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. She believes in living every moment to the fullest, especially laughing and having fun every single day!

All the stars began to align after Heather’s first email inquiry about the We Rock opportunity. After a much shorter period of time than anticipated, the dream became a reality. The Bennett family couldn’t be more excited to partner with such an amazing franchise. Racine and Kenosha hold special places in both of our hearts as we’ve spent most of our lives in the area. We feel extremely honored and blessed to bring this experience to our communities and cannot wait to be of service to others, to laugh, and to enjoy life together!

The one-year anniversary party happens on October 1, 2023 from 9am to 5pm.
