Racine police investigate shooting, victim in critical condition

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Racine police are investigating a shooting that left a 24-year-old man in critical condition.

Officers say they responded to a call about a man with a gun near the corner of Wolff and Main, where they found a shooting scene on Sunday, Oct. 27 at around 3:11 a.m.

Shortly after arriving, the victim reportedly arrived at a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was later airlifted to Milwaukee for further care.

Investigators determined that the man had been involved in a verbal and alleged physical altercation with several individuals. A 21-year-old man, considered a person of interest, was interviewed by police. Charges are under review by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office.
