Racine hit-and-run victim identified, police continue to seek driver

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal Racine hit-and-run as 59-year-old Timmy Oliver. 

The driver has yet to be located.

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Racine police are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect in a deadly hit-and-run Sunday, Sept. 11. 

Authorities responded to the area of Phillips and Washington Avenue just after 7 p.m. for a report of someone hit by a vehicle. 

Officers located a 59-year-old man deceased on scene. 

Officials say the man had just gotten out of his friend's vehicle and made his way around the other side of the vehicle to cross Washington Avenue. The friend heard a crash, saw his friend in the roadway and saw a vehicle leaving the area. 

Police later found the suspect vehicle unoccupied, but the driver has yet to be identified and located.
