Hopefully you enjoyed the weekend! We dealt with some showers here and there on Saturday but Sunday had tons of sunshine with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s before a lake breeze arrived. Now the rain is finally here. A slow moving storm system has been rolling in since 4 AM Monday morning and with stay with us much of the day. Steady rain is expected through the early afternoon with most seeing the rain come to an end around dinner time.
Since this is a slow moving storm system it should result in good rain totals for much of southeast Wisconsin. A few isolated storms will also increase our totals with most of our local area picking up 0.50-1.50" of rain - our first good rainfall in a few weeks.
While we do have the chance for an isolated thunderstorm on Monday, there is no chance for any strong or severe storms. That threat is best well to our south in southern Illinois and Indiana and parts of Missouri and Kentucky where they are under the Level 2 Slight Risk.
After a Monday with very likely rain we will start to dry out. Right now, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all look completely dry but some showers and storms may be possible for Mother's Day Weekend.
