Red Cross holding blood drive at Potawatomi Hotel
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The American Red Cross is partnering with Milwaukee Radio Alliance, and Milwaukee's True Oldies Channel for its 6th Annual Day of Donations Blood Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. It's on the fourth floor in the Harmony Room.
"We would love to see lots of donors come out to the blood drive today," said Elizabeth Gill with the Red Cross. "It's a tough time of year being the winter season."
This community tradition has helped save about 2,100 lives over the past five years. Your donation can help to save three lives.
"A lot of donors get busy with travel, with the holidays, inclement weather, sometimes the flu season, so there's a heightened need for blood so we encourage everybody to come down here and donate," Gill said.
All presenting blood donors will receive a prize bag including a pair of Milwaukee Admirals tickets, a Marcus Theaters movie ticket, a coupon for a pint of Cedar Crest Ice Cream, a coupon booklet for Prairie Farms Dairy savings, and a Fast Track Oil Change Centers $10 gift card, while supplies last. The Red Cross We will also have a raffle for a grand prize overnight stay at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino plus a $100 gift card or a grand prize overnight stay at Blue Harbor Resort (including water park passes).
