WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- About a 40-minute drive from Milwaukee, there's a show that will dazzle you whether you're a rock lover or not.
It's the Rock, Mineral, Gem and Earth Science Show, happening in West Bend all weekend.
For 64 years, this event has been a staple in Wisconsin's geology community, where enthusiasts from all over come together to share information about rocks that most people don't know about.
Vendors are there, with everything from jewelry to a fluorescent display.
The goal of the event is to educate people about all things geological.
"We offer hands-on education for all ages to come out, look, touch, feel, and look at the geology," said John Rettler, Kettle Moraine Geological Society of Wisconsin. "That's not being taught in school all the time."
Kettle Moraine Geological Society puts on the event, starting Friday, March 6 and running through March 8 at the Washington County Fair Park and Conference Center. For more information, click here.
