Rodgers stresses importance of practice ahead of Texans matchup

GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- We got an interesting version of Aaron Rodgers Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 21. A subdued Packers quarterback was asked if anyone in the locker room has stepped up in wake of the teams first loss of the season and his response: no but it’s Wednesday.

The Packers will need a gut check and fast if they plan to bounce back against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Postgame in Tampa, Coach Matt LaFleur and Rodgers both stressed the importance of the way the team prepared the week prior. They weren’t impressed, and that carried over to the game.

“I think our tempo was so bad we didn’t have time to you a hard count... a lot of chances to do that stuff," Rodger said.

Rodgers was sacked four times last week. Problems on the offensive line are still a concern and blindside David Bakhtiari continues to nurse a chest injury.
