Life Time trainers share ’SPOOKY’ Halloween workout
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- You can always count on the Salvation Army to help those in need, and one chapter is trying something new this Thanksgiving.
The Salvation Army Citadel Corps hosted a community Thanksgiving meal at the Worship and Community Center in Milwaukee. Some said they would have spent the holiday alone if not for this meal.
Part of the reason for having the dinner was simply the demand for one.
"We received so many phone calls of people wanting baskets and asking if we knew any place for their family to go and attend a Thanksgiving dinner because they were unable to afford for them to have one," said Lt. Patricia Williams of Salvation Army. "So the church members and our cook decided why not have a community meal at the church."
About 100 people came to the free dinner.
