Scattered strong storms possible Monday with warmth returning

We are waking up to some storms Monday morning and some of those storms have been strong. We haven't seen anything strengthen to severe criteria yet but some gusty wind to 50 mph and small hail has been possible with a few storms as they pulse up. More scattered showers and storms are likely throughout most of Monday morning. We might dry out for most of the afternoon and evening before another round of storms arrives after midnight Monday night. 

Any storms that we see on Monday, both in the morning and again at night, has the potential to be on the strong to severe side. A Level 2 Slight risk has been issued for most of the state of Wisconsin for severe storms. We also can't completely rule out a few afternoon or evening storms and if they happen they could also become severe. 

With any stronger storms we do see on Monday or Monday night, damaging wind would be the main threat. Some hail is also possible along with the chance for a few isolated tornadoes. 

We aren't very concerned about the flooding threat with any storms Monday into Tuesday morning. Most areas will only see a quarter to half inch of rain with some fast moving storms. Areas that see multiple storms or building strong storms could get more. 

The pneumonia front and lake breeze that kept us cool Sunday will go away Monday with a southwest wind gusting to 30 mph. That warm wind will allow temperatures to warm into the upper 70s to around 80 in some areas. Warmth continues tomorrow in the 70s before a cold front and another lake breeze arrives dropping temps into the 50s for a few days.
