MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Home surveillance camera video shows the moment a 31-year-old man from Evansville visiting town for Harley Homecoming was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Walker's Point on Saturday.

Police say near 1st and Walker at around 6:40 p.m., a speeding vehicle hit a person on a motorcycle. The suspects inside the car ran away from the scene. The 31-year-old person on the motorcycle was transported to a hospital, where the motorcyclist died.

Robert Hamilton lives close to the scene of the crash. The surveillance cameras outside his home captured the events of the deadly crash.

“I was up here in my living room watching TV and all of a sudden I hear a crash over there," Hamilton said. “People gathered around to help that man immediately.”

On Sunday, some debris from the crash was still scattered across the intersection and sidewalk. Hamilton said he saw the aftermath of the crash all over the road.

“There was so much plastic from the vehicle hitting the motorcycle," Hamilton said. "It was just shattered across the yard there.”

As police continue to search for the person or people who were in the car that hit the 31-year-old motorcyclist, Hamilton wants the video from his camera to provide answers to police and the family impacted.

“I hope it helps catch the criminal and severe punishment should be done here. Some man lost his life over this carelessness," Hamilton said. "This nonsense has got to stop. Too many people have died or were seriously hurt form this nonsense and it’s got to stop.”

Friends and family members tell CBS 58 the victim was 31-year-old Marc Jones. Those who knew him said he was in town for Harley Homecoming. As of Sunday, police have not formally identified the victim.

Milwaukee police say minutes before the accident, officers were flagged down near West Viriginia and 3rd, for an entry to auto complaint. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers attempted to stop the vehicle, however, the vehicle sped away, and officers did not pursue the car.

Police continue to seek unknown suspect(s). Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7360, or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (414)-224-Tips or P3 Tips.
