Gift cards to be handed out at select Pick 'n Save stores to people who lost power during storms

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee is doing its part to replenish homes that had to throw out food after severe storms swept through southeast Wisconsin last week. 

If that includes you, you can head to select Pick 'n Save stores Friday, Aug. 20, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and get a gift card. 

All you have to do is bring your ID and proof from We Energies that you lost power. 

The effort is a collaboration between the city of Milwaukee and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. A total of 3,000 gift cards will be given away. 

If you can't make it Friday, there will be a food distribution center set up at Greater New Birth in Milwaukee from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21.
