OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- What's better on a chilly October day than chili?
Veterans were invited to the Journey21 Enrichment Center in Oconomowoc for chili with the fixings Thursday, Oct. 24.
Journey21 is a nonprofit group that helps adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It was the Journey21 students who prepared the chili for the vets and proudly served it to them.
We talked to one young man who said he was nervous about being TV, but he told us that serving the vets brings him joy because they remind him of his grandfathers who served in the army.
