'She's really unstoppable': Milwaukee foster pup searching for forever home

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A foster care puppy in Milwaukee is being called unstoppable as she continues to overcome challenges with her health.

"She has the biggest heart, she has the brightest spirit, and she is always on the move," said Chariot's foster parent, Teresa Coste.

Born with a heart condition and scoliosis, 7-month-old puppy Chariot is paralyzed from the waist down, but that doesn’t stop her from living life to the fullest.

"Whether she's in her wheels or just kind of like flopping around, she is like on the move," said Coste.

Coste and her husband Ty have been fostering the resilient pup since August and say this social butterfly knows no stranger. They say the pup is always leaving a positive impression wherever she goes.

"She will bring a lot of love," said Coste. "She brings a lot of laughter to our lives, she's amazing."

Their other dog Tuna, who is also disabled, has been able to guide Chariot on paws and wheels, so nothing can hold her back.

"It's been so cool to kind of watch her figure things out," said Coste. "She's really unstoppable."

The Coste's continue to search for a dedicated person to add this strong and loving puppy to their family.

"Just patience, willingness to learn about her and about what she needs," said Costes. "An open mind and a big heart, that’s what we are really looking for in her forever family."

While Chariot needs some extra care and attention, they say her contagious energy and companionship are worth it.

"We have a disabled dog as well, so we love to bring awareness to the fact that disabled dogs are great," said Coste. "They make life better. They come with challenges, but the amount of love and joy that they bring to your family is just worth it."

Once she's fully grown, Coste says Walkin' Pets will sponsor a wheelchair for her, that will come along with her when she's adopted.

She's spayed, and up to date on all her shots. If you're interested, contact Albert's Dog Lounge.
