TWIN LAKES, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A woman is dead following a Monday, March 23 shooting at a Twin Lakes apartment complex, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say that they received a call at just after 9 a.m. Monday morning regarding a shooting at Tan Oakes Apartments on Wilmot Road.

When they arrived, officers detained the suspect in the shooting, a 35-year-old man. That is also when they found the deceased 38-year-old victim who they believe suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

Officials also found an 11-month-old child and a dog inside the apartment, but neither was harmed.

No details about what led to the shooting have yet been released.
