MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Tuesday, June 9 near 13th and Atkinson.

According to MPD, officers responded around 9:21 a.m. Tuesday and found a 37-year-old person who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts.

Investigators have not released information about what led up to the shooting and are searching for an unknown suspect or suspects.
