Short-term closure now in place along 76th St. and I-894/43 corridor in Greenfield

GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58)--Construction is a constant companion in southeastern WI. As work continues along the I-894/43 corridor between the Hale and Mitchell interchanges, drivers will need to plan for extra time into their commutes.

Starting today the I-894/43 westbound exit ramp to 76th St. in Greenfield will close for the next two-weeks so maintenance crews can begin work on the traffic signals at the ramps intersection with 76th St.  This work is part of the larger rehab and road project currently underway along that stretch of freeway.

Drivers can take advantage of several detours if they would normally use this ramp for either of their commutes.  Drivers wishing to access 76th St. along the I-894/43 westbound stretch should use either 60th St. or Forest Home Ave.

As with most construction projects drivers should plan not only for extra time but use caution when traveling in construction zones. Be sure to follow @ABrovelli and watch the CBS 58 Morning News for the latest on your travels as well as construction projects throughout southeastern WI.
