Shots fired during armed robbery in Menomonee Falls church parking lot

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Menomonee Falls Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in a church parking lot near Appleton Avenue and North Hills Drive around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 14. 

According to officials, police responded to a fight-in-progress involving weapons. Two adult male victims and one juvenile female victim met with three suspects; one adult male and two juvenile males. The meeting was planned to exchange drugs for money, according to police.

When the suspects met with the victims, two of the suspects displayed handguns and ordered the driver out of the vehicle, the news release stated. A physical altercation occurred and multiple shots were fired. There were no injuries as a result of gunfire. 

The suspects fled the area on foot and were later located and arrested along with the recovery of the two handguns, according to police. 

All suspects are currently in custody and multiple charges, including robbery, have been forwarded to the Waukesha County District Attorney's office. The investigation is on-going.
