This Valentine's Day, show your sweetheart and these Port Washington businesses some love

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Local restaurants, flower and candy shops are getting ready for a busy weekend ahead of Valentine's Day. If you're looking for something to surprise your loved ones and support a local business at the same time, Port Washington has some options.

Chocolate Chisel has rows and rows of unique chocolates -- from roses to conversation hearts.

They're prepping for a busy weekend through actual Valentine's Day on Tuesday.

"Freshly dipped strawberries Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday," said Elizabeth MacCrimmon, one of the owners and an artist. "The most popular things are caramels -- sea salt caramels, caramels without sea salt, caramels that are bark."

They also serve homemade ice cream with no added preservatives and some very unique flavors.

Right down the street at Beanies Mexican Restaurant, couples can swing at the bar while sipping a Cupid Margarita. Or you can reserve an igloo experience while trying a Valentine's Day flight.

And if you're looking to stay in the area, the newly reopened Port Hotel still has rooms available.

"You can bring a bottle of champagne upstairs, have a nice romantic evening up here," said General Manager Andrea Chmielewski.
