The entire state of Wisconsin is in a drought right now. Most of the state is under a moderate drought, including all of southeast Wisconsin, and parts of northern and southwest Wisconsin are under a severe drought. In order to get out of a drought, we need days like Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Since Sunday most of southeast Wisconsin has seen times of light to moderate steady rain with most locations picking up 0.10-0.50" of rainfall.
We had another brief round of steady rain from 3-6 AM Monday that added a few more hundredths of an inch to the totals. The rest of Monday will feature a few isolated showers, but the next best chance for heavy rain and even a few storms will be late Monday evening through Tuesday morning.
More scattered showers will be likely throughout the rest of Election Day with even a few storms. There is still plenty of dry time between the showers and storms to get your vote in! Rainfall totals for Monday through Tuesday evening will range from at least a half inch to over 2" in some locations.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the rain with the interactive radar and find dry breaks to go vote!
