Summer Gallery Night MKE returns this weekend with 50+ art venues
WAUKESHA, CO. (CBS 58) — The snow Tuesday night kept first responders busy in Waukesha County.
According to Waukesha County dispatchers, between the hours of 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., there were 25 property damage crashes, one with injury, 32 cars in the ditch and 18 other cars that were either stuck or on the side of the road.
Interstates and other busy roads were snow covered Tuesday night with cars sliding and having difficulty getting traction on the road
“The plows were out and they were doing salting operations. We do have the counties provide that service on interstates and state highways, but with the snow coming down conditions are slick, there’s some ice that’s formed underneath in some areas so do be very cautious if you are out on the roads this evening or tomorrow,” said Michael Pyritz with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Pyritz also wanted to remind drivers of the state law that requires drivers to stay 200 feet behind plows when traveling 35 miles per hour or faster
