After numerous severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening that caused plenty of damage, especially in and around Waukesha, another round of severe weather is possible Friday.
A line of strong thunderstorms has moved from north to south across the CBS 58 viewing area Friday morning. The storms are not severe but they are strong with strong wind, heavy rain and frequent lightning. The storms are expected to wrap up by late morning with some dry hours going into the early afternoon. If you are planning on going to Summerfest, grab the umbrella with the possibility of afternoon and evening storms.
After a wet start, a few pop up scattered storms will be possible Friday afternoon and evening. Best chance for timing looks to be from 2 p.m. to midnight.
Communities along and south of I-94 have the best chance to see these storms, but some will stay dry. The latest weather models are trending the storms a little farther south into northern Illinois, but the chance remains. If storms do form they have the possibility to become strong or severe.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the morning and afternoon/evening storms.
