It was a glorious weekend with highs hitting 60° on Saturday under a mix of sun and clouds and plenty of sunshine Sunday with very mild temps hitting the mid-70s. Sunday's high of 75° in Milwaukee was almost the warmest day of the year but fell just one degree short of 76° on April 22.
Showers and storms rolled through Sunday night and those showers are lingering into Monday morning. Another round of rain moves through this morning. It should remain fairly light for most but pockets of moderate rainfall are possible. The showers should stay away this afternoon and evening for tailgating at the Brewers game or watching the Bucks in the Deer District but grab the umbrella just to be cautious.
An isolated shower may be possible Tuesday. The best chance would be in the morning and south of I-94. Wednesday is the better day to watch for steady and heavy rain.
We are in for another soaking week with heavy rain possible both Wednesday and Thursday. Rain totals by the end of the week could reach 1-2" for most of southern Wisconsin. Areas to our southwest like Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska could see even more with up to 4" there.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track any showers that form on Monday and see where the heavy rain sets up for Wednesday and Thursday. Mother's Day weekend is currently looking dry!
