We are in the middle of another dry stretch of weather. We did see some sprinkles on Monday officially but otherwise we are now on eight mostly dry days in a row. That streak could end on Friday with some light showers possible Thursday night into Friday. The best timing for the rain is from midnight Thursday night through about 8 AM Friday morning along a cold front.
Any of the rain we see Thursday night into Friday morning looks very light with some communities getting around a tenth of an inch but most get much less with barely a few hundredths of an inch if anything.
After the light showers Thursday night into Friday morning there's another chance for some showers Saturday evening with an isolated storm possible as well.
Going into these light showers for the start of the weekend, most of Wisconsin is still dealing with drought. We saw drought conditions arrive in the middle of September and the latest drought update shows no change in southern Wisconsin with moderate drought conditions in parts of Dodge, Jefferson, Waukesha and Walworth Counties as well as a sliver of SE Kenosha County. Northeast Wisconsin did see some changes with Severe drought now being reported there.
