MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- People across Wisconsin will head to the polls on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Faith leaders gathered in Milwaukee on Monday to call on the community to exercise their right to vote.
At the rally, church leaders and members of "Souls to the Polls" talked about the role the church can play in helping everyone get to the polls.
The group says 500 faith leaders from across the area are working together to get their congregations to vote.
The group hopes to continue informing and encouraging everyone of all faiths and backgrounds to head to the polls this year.
“Many folks don’t even understand there’s a vote tomorrow," Souls to the Polls president Greg Lewis said. "So we wanted to do this today and hopefully people will see this on TV and get involved. Then, we’re going to do it on April, August and November.”
Polls open on Tuesday at 7 a.m.
