Spares & strikes count on Monday at 'WhirlyBall Brookfield' with free bowling offered

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Bowlers, pick your lane and work on your score today, for free.

"WhirlyBall" in Brookfield is running a special promotion on this Monday to celebrate National Bowling Day. It actually happens every year on Aug. 12.

From 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday, you get one lane for one hour with a maximum of six bowlers per lane.

Organizers say what's happening is a great way to promote one of the world's oldest sports.
