If many of you are tired of hearing about winter weather as we approach the middle of March, we have good news for you: spring weather is moving in! An area of low pressure will slide the winter weather into the northern Plains, and we will be in the warm sector of the storm system. This will sling in warm high temperatures we haven’t seen since before Halloween.
The story will be the warmth, but also we will see rain. The rain is rolling into the region by Tuesday night, and this will last on and off from overnight Tuesday through Thursday night. It won’t be raining the whole time; however, the rain will cause some minor flooding with the snow melt and the rain totals reaching almost an inch. Keep an eye on your basement and yard if it is prone to flooding.
Highs will fall back into the upper 30s and lower 40s by week’s end, which is around normal. Enjoy the spring weather!
