'Stand and Deliver': Adam Ant bringing 'ANTMUSIC' tour to Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- "Unplug the jukebox and do us all a favor. That music's lost its taste so try another flavor: Antmusic!"
Grammy-nominated Adam Ant is scheduled to perform at the Pabst Theater, bringing his blend of rock, pop, punk and new wave to Milwaukee.
His performance, part of the "ANTMUSIC 2024" tour, will take place on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 7 p.m.
Adam Ant's career began in the mid-seventies with the band Bazooka Joe. His breakthrough came with the formation of Adam and The Ants, leading to the release of the album Kings of the Wild Frontier in 1980, a chart-topping success in the UK.
His solo career features hits like "Goody Two Shoes," which reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, along with "Stand and Deliver," a Billboard Top 40 success that stayed at the top spot in the UK for five weeks.
He was nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy in 1982 and also received the Ivor Novello Award for songwriting. His legacy includes the Q Music Icon Award, presented in 2008, placing him in the company of music legends like Paul McCartney.
