MEQUON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wright House Senior Living in Mequon will host a "Virtual Lunch & Learn" event from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The event will focus on balance and fall prevention, noting those interested "stay falls free this fall!"
The workshop is tailored for those who have recently experienced a fall, struggle to get up from their chair, and those who suffer recurring episodes of dizziness or light headedness.
"We will explore underlying causes of balance issues, effective ways to prevent falls and improve your overall balance," a news release stated. "To gain more independence, be sure to (attend) this informative workshop with Certified Balance Specialists."
The event is free, open to the public, and is presented by Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center's Mary Beth Scalise and Don Olsen.
Free lunches are available for pick-up at 10:30 a.m. at Wright House, 6751 W. Mequon Road, drive-thru style. Those interested are urged to pull-up to the Wright House entrance and lunch will be brought to you. Staying in your vehicle and wearing your mask is asked in order to practice safe social distancing.
The event will stream live on Zoom. The presenter will email a link to join the presentation on the day of the event.
