'Stay home': Late-season blizzard impacts drivers throughout SE Wisconsin
CBS 58 WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Crews are out in full force trying to get the streets clear after a late-season blizzard Monday.
Drivers in Waukesha County got a dose of tough conditions, but in true Wisconsin spirit, commuters are looking out for each other when things get dicey.
"This is the third person I helped, personally. Over in Milwaukee, I actually got out and was pulling someone with the chains on my truck and then two other people, including this one, we got out and we’re helping the person just by pushing the car. It’s pretty bad out here."
On top of the impacts on the road, we've started to see delays pile up at the airport, and power outages that have left thousands waiting for their lights to come back on.
And an even worse story for the roads up in West Bend. That area saw nearly twice the amount of snow Milwaukee did, but it hasn't stopped drivers from hitting the road - even if they'd rather be at home.
"I was hoping winter was done, but it clearly has not had its way with us yet."
"It's nasty out. Stay home if you don't have to go out. If you have the option to stay home, do it."
While our Blizzard Warning is no longer in effect, you can still expect some impacts on the road. So, take it slow, give other drivers space, and as always, buckle up.
