Staying cooler but mostly dry to start to the new work week

CBS 58

We had some rain over the weekend with light steady rain in southern counties on Father's Day. Those showers added a bit more precipitation to a June that was already decently wet. We have now picked up over 4" of rain for the month which is almost a full inch above average. It is currently tied for the 25th wettest start to June on record.

Not much for rain chances the next two days with only a 10% chance at a shower Monday afternoon and most of Tuesday is dry until Tuesday night. Wednesday that changes with scattered showers and storms likely most of the day.

A lake breeze has returned and will stay with us for a few days. Highs Monday might stay in the upper 60s in Milwaukee but inland areas should be warmer in the 70s. Tuesday also has the lake breeze then we warm in the middle 70s for the second half of the week.

There are some signs that a big warm up is on the way for the end of June going into July. Some models had 80 degrees showing up as early as this upcoming weekend. Until then, humidity levels will stay low in the 50s Monday and Tuesday. They inch up closer to 60 for Wednesday when they might be noticeable but that makes sense since it's our next chance for rain.
