MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Summer break can lead to a decline in children's academic skills, particularly in math. Research indicates that students may lose up over two months of math skills during a single summer. This cumulative effect, known as the "summer slide," can result in the equivalent of two years of learning loss by middle school.
Engaging children in educational experiences during the summer months can help curb this learning loss and maintain their academic progress.
MacKenzie Price, founder of GT School, joined us on Wednesday, May 3 with tips on incorporating learning into regular summer activities.
