MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It was a sea of pink along the lake front in Milwaukee on Sunday, Sept. 24.
The 2023 Komen Southeast Wisconsin "More Than Pink Walk" kicked off at the Summerfest Grounds.
1-8 women will get diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Breast cancer fighters, survivors, and supporters came out to raise money to beat the disease.
"It was a long battle. I had my chemo buddy by my side and my daughter by my side all the way. Great support group. You just got to keep plugging away day after day, stay positive and that's all I did," said Glinda Hohler, 12-year breast cancer survivor.
Over 200 teams were at the walk, including our team at CBS 58 and Telemundo Wisconsin.
The event was emceed by CBS 58's Natalie Sheperd.
More information about the walk, including how to participate and how to help financially, can be found by clicking here.
