MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The village of Richfield in Washington County is hosting a fundraiser this weekend where folks can bowl to benefit a worthy cause.
The first annual National Ataxia Foundation Bowl for a Cure is taking place this Sunday. We were joined Thursday, Sept. 22 by several special guests to discuss the importance of the fundraiser, as well as why it is so important to battle ataxia:
- Mark Minkin, national co-chairperson for Accelerate and chairman for the Bowl for a Cure;
- Leah Minkin, national co-chairperson for Accelerate;
- Jill Heiman, committee member for Bowl for a Cure;
- April Radish, member of the Bowl for a Cure planning Committee.
In addition to their information about the Bowl for a Cure, Leah and Jill are battling ataxia and offered insight about what this fundraiser is actually aiming to battle.
Three sessions will be taking place at Pioneer Bowl in Richfield: 9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Registration costs $25 but donations are welcome from those who are unable to attend. More information can be found by visiting their website by clicking here.
