Teen charged in connection to Milwaukee shooting that left 15-year-old dead, 5 others hurt
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 16-year-old has been charged in connection to a shooting that left a 15-year-old boy dead and five other people injured.
The shooting happened late Monday, March 20 near 14th and Concordia on Milwaukee's north side.
According to a criminal complaint, one of the shooting victims told investigators a fight was planned between two women. The victim stated the fight lasted for about ten seconds and the two involved fell to the ground and then gunshots were heard.
The criminal complaint says a witness told a similar story about what happened. The witness told investigators they were gathered near 15th and Concordia because there was going to be a fight. Shortly after the fight started, gunshots rang out.

Five women, ages 18, 21, 19, and two 22-year-olds, were injured.
At the scene, investigators located 30 spent casings.
Witnesses and victims identified the 16-year-old shooter in a photo lineup.
Officials say the 16-year-old defendant was arrested on March 21. The complaint says he denied being present at the time of the shooting, but then changed his story and admitted there was a fight between two girls. He told investigators, according to the complaint, he fired a .40 caliber gun during the incident.
The complaint reports a text message exchange between the 16-year-old and another person reads, "I shot [victim]."
The 16-year-old has been charged with the following:
- First degree reckless homicide, as party to a crime, use of a dangerous weapon
- First degree reckless injury, as party to a crime, use of a dangerous weapon (five counts)
