The Hop streetcar temporarily reduces service hours, frequency due to Covid exposure among staff

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Hop streetcar is implementing a temporary revised schedule due to Covid exposure among staff.

The Hop announced Tuesday that beginning Monday, Dec. 27, the streetcar will operate according to the following schedule:

• Sunday-Wednesday: 7 a.m.-10 p.m. with service every 20 minutes
• Thursday-Friday: 5 a.m.-12 a.m. with service every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 20 minutes during non-peak hours
• Saturday: 7 a.m.-12 a.m. with service every 20 minutes

The Hop says they will continue to provide extended service on New Year's Eve, with streetcars running until 2 a.m., and will return to a full schedule as soon as possible.
