NOW: The intense heat and humidity continue their grip through much of Monday

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--It's fulltime summer mode with this forecast through much of Monday.  The Extreme Heat Warning continues for Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha Counties while it's a Heat Advisory for everyone else.  What does this mean?  You need to find limit your time outside if possible.  If you do need to be outside for a longer time period, it's imperative you stayed hydrated.  Basically, 8 ounces of water every 20-30 minutes.  Put on the sunscreen as well.  Keep the pets inside as well.  If you don't have A/C, find a cooling shelter as well.  Daytime temps will be well in the 90s, at or near record territory. It'll easily feel like 105 degrees plus in the warned areas.  A car without air conditioning along with rolled up windows can create temperatures above 100 degrees almost instantly!!

Less wind on Sunday but still a bit choppy.  Moderate swim risk for Sheboygan and Ozaukee Counties...

The pattern breaks down as soon as late in the day on Monday as a cold front works in from the west.  The front will become a stationary front for most of the upcoming week, creating rounds of showers and storms.  Some could be strong.  Hopefully it'll dry out by late in the week and into the weekend.  Look for highs mainly in the 80s.

Slight risk of severe weather into Monday evening, especially north and west of the metro. Damaging wind, frequent lightning, are hail are all possible along with heavy rain...
