MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Gypsy Taco, a popular Milwaukee food truck that claims to serve "unapologetically unauthentic tacos using as many local and regional ingredients when possible" is changing their name.

In a post on Instagram, Chef Mitch made the announcement that he is working to rebrand his company, effective immediately.

The statement read in part, "It has come to my attention that the name around which I have created a brand is offensive to the people from which it stems. While not my intent, the name I chose to represent me as a chef was founded upon an inaccurate definition that disregarded the long history and plight of the Romani people."

The Chef for the taco truck went on to say that after hearing from the local community, he apologizes and will now reimagine the company as one that is inclusive to all.

There is currently no word on what the new name will be. The Chef did say that the process of rebranding cannot be done overnight.
