The Mecca Sports Bar and Grill readies for grand opening Friday

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Fans now have a new place to cheer on the Bucks in the Deer District.

The Mecca Sports Bar and Grill is right across from Fiserv Forum. It is currently open for dinner with limited hours as part of a soft open.

The new establishment features a 38-foot TV and two full-size bars.

Officials said the MECCA Sports Bar and Grill will be a major attraction for sports fans featuring a unique menu of elevated sports bar fare, including a vegetable stir fry, Alaskan salmon, crispy shrimp tacos, edamame and Nashville Hot Fried Chicken.

The Mecca Sports Bar and Grill will be open from 4 p.m. until midnight Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday up until Sunday, May 12. Starting May 13, it will be open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to midnight and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday through Saturday.

The grand opening will be on Friday, May 3.
