BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Tap Yard beer gardens opened for the season May 1. Southeast Wisconsin is home to dozens of beer gardens. Many offer the traditional German style beer and food options. The Tap Yard is giving a different experience for those who want to enjoy craft beer, seltzers and ciders. 

There are five Tap Yard locations: 

• Brookfield at Fox Brook Park
• Menomonee Falls at Menomonee Park 
• Milwaukee at Schlitz Park
• Waukesha at Minooka Park 
• West Bend at Ackerman's Grove 

Each location has 18-25 craft beer and cocktails. Nick Marking, the owner of The Tap Yards says it's the perfect place for groups large and small and families.  

"We're kind of an American craft beer, fun beer garden. We rotate our beers constantly throughout the summer and it makes it unique, and we do some fun beer events, and we get some limited beer," said Marking. 

The beer gardens are open Wednesday through Sunday. They have daily food trucks, bingo and trivia throughout spring and summer.
