The wait is almost over for a little snow on Christmas

Milwaukee (CBS 58)--It seems like we've been talking about this for a long time.  And we have.  The prospects for snow on Christmas.  Now it looks like the best place to see snowfall will be along and north of I-94.  Perhaps a dusting to a half inch.  That's all.  A mix of rain and snow is possible south of I-94, keeping any amounts down.  The timing of the snow should be mainly during the daylight hours.

After the light snow, we sit and wait for rain on Thursday with a pretty wet system.  We're talking at least a half an inch of rain for a lot of us.  The rain mixes with snow by later Friday afternoon as colder air intrudes from Canada.  Also, look for a colder weekend ahead with highs in the 20s.  New Years Eve, by the way, looking fairly quiet with highs around 30.
