MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The owners of Victor's in Milwaukee are closing their doors for good Jan. 1, but not before one last goodbye.
"Theres not another place like this in Milwaukee," said Stephanie Graham, a loyal customer.
The bar hosted a 24-hour non-stop celebration, welcoming the new year, while saying goodbye to the fan favorite bar.
The night club has been around for nearly six decades, becoming a space to create new traditions with friends.
"We would always come on New Year's Day," said Graham. "We like to come after all of the nighttime ruckus."
Alex Berkich, whose been a loyal customer at the Milwaukee staple since 1975 says the people there have become family to him.
"I'm happy that I experienced it, I love everybody here and I grew up here," said Berkich.
The event sold out and the business says around 1,500 people passed through to rally one last time.
"They are friends for life," said Victor Jones, the co-owner of Victor's.
Holding on to all the memories made, while making some new ones along the way.
"We've had so many memories," said Emily Petrie, a loyal customer. "We've come here on New Year's Day when there's been Packers games, Badgers games and just celebrating."
