Things getting a little sappy this weekend for Wehr Nature Center's 'Maple Sugar Days'

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- This is the time of year when we get new appreciation for what we put on top of our pancakes. It's maple syrup tapping season. And this is what you can learn about all weekend long at Wehr Nature Center in Franklin.

The event itself is called the 45^th Annual Maple Sugar Days. You get to learn what it takes to make this sweet syrupy substance and actively try your hand at it. Of course, you can do some taste testing too.
