Three Milwaukee area teams to play for WIAA state football championships

Three teams in the Milwaukee area are headed to Madison next week to compete for state championships in high school football.

Brookfield Central will face Waunakee for the Division 2 title after beating Waukesha West 38-23 Friday night at Oconomowoc High School. Brookfield Central's state title game happens Friday afternoon at 1:00 at Camp Randall Stadium.

New Berlin Eisenhower edged out Whitefish Bay in Division 3, 21-14, to advance to the state championship tilt. The Lions will face Rice Lake Friday morning at 10:00.

Lake Country Lutheran gets the area's first try at a state title. They'll play Thursday at 4:00 against Amherst in the Division 5 championship game. The Lightning beat Cedar Grove-Belgium 16-14 to advance to Madison.
