Trial date set for immigrant at center of Judge Dugan's obstruction case

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man at the center of the obstruction case involving Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was back in the courthouse Monday, Sept. 8.

Eduardo Flores-Ruiz faces three counts of misdemeanor battery, and on Monday, a trial date of Oct. 13 was set for that case.

Those charges brought Flores-Ruiz to Judge Dugan's courtroom back in April, when the judge is accused of helping him try to elude ICE agents.

Last week in federal court, Flores-Ruiz pleaded guilty to reentering the United States after previously being deported.

He's due for sentencing in that case on Oct. 29.
