DELAFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Tricia's Troops Cancer Connection aims to provide essential support to hundreds of cancer patients each year in southeast Wisconsin and beyond. Assistance ranges from financial help for basic necessities to wellness kits and emotional support.
The organization also offers Project Connect, a free 4-week program to help cancer fighters and survivors optimize wellness through healthier living choices.
Executive Director Candice Strong, Yoga Specialist Katie Nied and Cancer Exercise Specialist Colette Reichert joined us to discuss the nonprofit organization on Tuesday, Aug. 22. They detailed the various programs, including ones that provide rides to treatments or offset costs for items like wigs.
Founded over a decade ago by Tricia Wright, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer, the organization continues to grow under the guidance of Tricia's sister, Candi Strong.
With a focus on easing the burden of financial and emotional strain associated with a cancer diagnosis, Tricia's Troops emphasizes compassionate and practical help.
