Truck drives into commercial business building in Oostburg

OOSTBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a call regarding a pickup truck driving into a building on Saturday, Jan. 27 in the village of Oostburg. 

It happened around 5:28 p.m., near 9th and Center in Oostburg. 

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, an investigation indicated the truck was traveling west, and attempted to pass a vehicle while there was an eastbound vehicle approaching. The truck sideswiped the eastbound vehicle and drove into a commercial business building. The eastbound driver was not injured and was the only person in the vehicle. 

The operator of the truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was injured. 

According to the sheriff's office, excessive speed and alcohol appeared to be factors in the incident.
