Unveiling the unknown at Milwaukee Paranormal Conference
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An event in mid-October is preparing to explore Milwaukee's most famous ghost stories, urban legends and other supernatural phenomena.
The Milwaukee Paranormal Conference, slated for Friday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 15, aims to offer a platform for enthusiasts to engage in discussions about ghosts, UFOs and Wisconsin folklore.
Founded in 2015 by author Tea Krulos and sponsored by the American Ghost Walks tour company, the conference will take place at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center.
Attendees can expect a variety of activities throughout the weekend, beginning with a Friday the 13th Fest at Falcon Bowl that starts at 7 p.m. The fest will feature live music and a paranormal-themed costume contest.
The speakers on Saturday, Oct. 14 will discuss a range of topics including lake monsters and Wisconsin's horror fiction history. Sunday, Oct. 15 will feature multiple events around Milwaukee, including an open house at the Morris Pratt Institute and a ghost tour of the Third Ward.
